At Hermitage Eye Care we provide state-of-the art care and exams. Our exams include a review of the overall health of your eye including the anterior segment (lids, lashes, cornea, conjunctiva, iris pupil and lens) as well as the posterior segment ( retina, optic nerve, macula, arteries/ veins and vitreous) to check for common diseases. It also includes a visual field screening, tonometry ( intraocular pressure), refraction ( your actual eye glass prescription), cover test (detects lazy eye or if eye turns in), a slit lamp exam ( this can detect eye diseases or other serious ocular conditions) and a dilation if needed.

A contact lenses exam: $169.00
This includes all the above plus all needed measurements and descion making involved for continued contact lens wear.
Dr. Hammond established Hermitage Eye Care in 1983 with used equipment, a 900 square foot office space, and a staff of one-his wife. In the years since then the practice has grown and changed to keep pace with the advances in eye care. Currently the 4000 square foot building has 4 exam rooms, special testing rooms, a large optical selection and 5 full time employees.
