Erica Nicholson is our Optometric Tech. She has been in the optical industry for 14 years. She makes all of our patients feel comfortable while she collects histories, takes retinal photos and checks interoccular pressures for Dr. Hammond. She is an expert also at teaching insertion and removal of contact lenses. She is a Mississippi native and a proud mother of 3 sons. When she is not at Hermitage Eye Care she loves to spend time with her family and travel, especially home to Mississippi. Our practice has really benefited from having Erica on our team.
Dr. Hammond established Hermitage Eye Care in 1983 with used equipment, a 900 square foot office space, and a staff of one-his wife. In the years since then the practice has grown and changed to keep pace with the advances in eye care. Currently the 4000 square foot building has 4 exam rooms, special testing rooms, a large optical selection and 5 full time employees.
