Jasmine is our mascot and good will ambassador. She enjoys the attention she receives from almost all visitors to Hermitage Eye Care. Our younger patients enjoy playing ball with her and the adults can’t help but rub her ears. No, you can’t take her home with you; she works security at the Hammond house when not in the office.
Dr. Hammond established Hermitage Eye Care in 1983 with used equipment, a 900 square foot office space, and a staff of one-his wife. In the years since then the practice has grown and changed to keep pace with the advances in eye care. Currently the 4000 square foot building has 4 exam rooms, special testing rooms, a large optical selection and 5 full time employees.
