About Us
Dr. Hammond is a 1983 graduate of the Southern College of Optometry. He moved to Hermitage in 1983 to get away from the hustle and bustle of Eastern Kentucky.He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Tennessee Optometric Association and the Tennessee Academy of Optometry.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and tinkering with old cars.
Carrie Pentell is the office manager of Hermitage Eye Care. She joined Dr. Hammond in 1997 and brings years of retail management experience to the team at HEC. She can answer questions regarding accounts payable and receivable, marketing, and management.
Frances Henderson is the insurance coordinator for HEC and has been a member of the team since 1992. She uses her years of experience in administration and customer service to answer your questions, bill insurance claims, and update patient accounts.
Kristin McGill is the optometric assistant to Dr. Hammond. Kristin joined the team in February of 2005 after working as a pharmaceutical technician at the Hermitage Kroger pharmacy. Kristin is a certified nursing technician. She performs pretest and works with contact lenses.
